Thank you for this beautifully done story of a legendary photographer.

As an African woman who is also a photojournalist, and who also loves her work, I am always glad to see the stories of women in this field.

I have often wondered whether or not some day I will end up on a global battlefield, somewhere. But in actuality, if this occurs, it may not be so different from the relentless urban battlefield of which I am now thoroughly acquainted.

She was only 27 years old - and yet, she spent a lifetime documenting the 'dogs of imperial war.'
