Getting up early was not easy, after a night visiting a good number of the more interesting watering holes in Hull.

The Work Shop I gave was attended mainly by teachers of photography and photographers.. The participants were very motivated to deal with digital matters and facing the issues that everyone in the world is grappling with as well. What is surprising for me is the high level of government funds that are being spent in bringing digital technology to the school system in the area of Southern Holderness. They seem to be very conscious of the importance of dealing with these matters to support the local economy.

In the background is a view of British Petroleum that just merged with AMOCO ( American Oil Company), the supermarket is Safeway an American Corporation. No comments necessary. Globalization at work.

This was a factory that made aerosol paint cans that had to close in a past economic recession, that factory has become a Mecca for graffiti artists from many parts of England. Interesting to note is that graffiti artists now sign with their web site address.

One thing that I found interesting is that the graffiti artists who paint there in the warehouse do their original art first on the computer and then they print it out so that they can have it as a reference for when they go to paint on the wall.
