The attached photographs were taken by me in Times Square, NYC at 8:02 on February 20, 2002. I received your email requesting images and thought it was something I would like to be apart of. I am a photographer based in NYC. I did nt know if anyone else was there with the same intent as me, but I thought it was a good idea to record my impression of that moment in time in Times Square. I thought it was serendipitous that the word peace was traveling along the message board on the Reuters Building as I took the picture. It is appropriate that at the moment I tripped the shutter it was passing between to support beams of the US Armed Forces Recruitment station. The red and white neon tubes are an architectural reference to the stripes of the US flag. The time 8:02 is reflected in the glass from a LED digital clock that was behind me. Regards |
